Head of Product at SewerAI
(posted June 30, 2019)
Every year, 860 billion gallons of raw sewage in the US alone leaks into rivers, oceans, lakes and wetlands, resulting in ecological damage and fines totaling over 1 billion dollars a year from the EPA. To mitigate this risk, cities hire crews with trucks and small cameras attached to find breaks in pipes. SewerAI’s first product will use computer vision to automatically detect pipe defects so that robotic sewer inspections can be completed twice as fast with near perfect accuracy.
