SewerAI Launches Command Center: Turning Inspection Data Into Reports, Maps, and Rehab Plans in Minutes

The AI workspace built directly into PIONEER™ is graduating from open beta to general availability ahead of WEFTEC 2026. This launch gives utilities, engineering firms, and contractors a powerful, plain-language way to search, analyze, and act on their sewer inspection data.

WALNUT CREEK, Calif., Sept. 16, 2026 — SewerAI today announced the full launch of Command Center, the AI-powered workspace built directly into its PIONEER™ platform, now available to all PIONEER™customers. Command Center debuted in beta on July 31, and today’s general release comes two weeks ahead of WEFTEC 2026, where SewerAI will showcase live demos at Booth #1415.

Inspection programs generate enormous amounts of data, including CCTV footage, defect codes, risk scores, and GIS layers. Traditionally, turning that data into actionable reports, maps, or rehabilitation plans meant digging through filters, exporting spreadsheets, or waiting on an expert to pull the results. Command Center changes that by allowing customers to simply describe what they need in plain language. The system then queries inspections and assets, runs analyses, and delivers real, ready-to-use outputs.

“Infrastructure teams don’t need another dashboard to learn. They need answers. Command Center meets people where they already work in PIONEER™ and gives them back the time they used to spend digging for information,” said Matt Rosenthal, Co-Founder and Co-CEO of SewerAI.

“This is the next step in making infrastructure professionals superhuman. Command Center turns years of inspection history into something you can actually act on, in the time it used to take to open a spreadsheet,” said Billy Gilmartin, Co-Founder and Co-CEO of SewerAI.

Built directly into PIONEER™, Command Center enables users to:

  • Instantly answer questions about a project or account, including inspection counts, review status, or defect breakdowns, without the need for filters or exports.
  • Prioritize pipes by risk and generate rehabilitation or capital plans, complete with cost assumptions and a detailed priority asset table.
  • Produce client-ready reports, interactive maps, and NASSCO-format exports, all styled to match a customer’s own report templates.
  • Audit inspections for missing fields, coding inconsistencies, and other data quality issues before they can delay a submittal.
  • Map lateral and tap connections directly from inspection observations.
  • Run recurring, scheduled reports that are automatically delivered by email.

During its open beta, customers used Command Center to build branded report templates that reduced turnaround time from hours to just 10 to 15 minutes. One municipal customer transformed historical inspection data into documentation for a grant submittal, meeting a September deadline that would have otherwise been missed.

"With Command Center, it actually uses my data and analyzes it specifically for my projects. It's amazing," said one municipal customer, who used the platform to rebuild a lateral and tap GIS layer in a single session.

"It has been one of the best AI tools we have ever used. There was nothing that it wasn't able to do," said a county utility customer, who gave it a 5/5 rating after a single day of use.
